1. What can I sell on YouBeats?

You can sell the usage rights of your self-produced beats as a standard lease, professional lease or exclusive. To be able to sell beats, you have to register as an artist.

2. Which license system is available at Youbeats?

Youbeats works with two licensing systems. The standard youbeats system and the custom system. You can make your own settings for the license system. For the buyer it is indicated by a y or a c which is the license system. In addition, licensing is displayed for each beat. On your profile page you will also see which system you are using. 3. How many licenses can I offer at youbeats?

There are 3 different licenses at youbeats. Standard Lease, Professional Lease and Exclusive License. The licenses build up depending on the files that you have uploaded. If you only upload an MP3 file, you can only offer the standard lease. However, if you upload a WAV / AIF file, you can offer Professional and Exclusive. In addition, you can decide whether your master files can also be downloaded at Professional or only with exclusive license. The same applies to the audio mixdown in WAV / AIF. You can determine if the Audiomixdown WAV / AIF can also be downloaded at the standard lease.

4. What is the standard lease?

The use rights of standard lease beats grant the buyer limited rights of use. A resale of the rights of use is prohibited. A standard lease beats can be sold several times by the producer. The offered usage rights by the seller, you always see in the beat description. The audio file is limited to MP3.

5. What is the professional lease?

The use rights of Professional Lease Beats grant the buyer the rights as with standard lease but with higher rights and conditions. The audio file is here at least WAV / AIF. In addition, the producer can already offer master files in this license.

6. What is Exclusive License?

The acquisition of the exclusive license grants the buyer significantly more usage rights. However, resale of the rights of use is still prohibited. An exclusive license is not sold out anymore by the producer, but may have previously been sold in minor licenses. The audio file is here at least WAV / AIF and master files.

4. Can I offer beats which contains loops for sale?

No. Beats which are produced with programs like e.g. eJay or Magix Music Maker, must not offered or uploaded to YouBeats. Also beats with uncleared samples, or which were not produced by the producer himself, must not offered or uploaded to YouBeats.

5. Which formats can I upload and what do I need to?

You must upload complete arranged beats in WAV or AIF(F) file format. Beats that are not completely arranged, and only 1 or 2 minutes will be deleted. Intros or outros should be marked as such

6. Do I need to upload a preview version of the Beats?

No. Our system automatically creates an audio sample of 1:45 min, which is provided with an voice tag. Only the buyer can directly listen and download the full version.

7. Can I offer beats which contains loops for sale?

No. Beats which are produced with programs like e.g. eJay or Magix Music Maker, must not offered or uploaded to YouBeats. Also beats with uncleared samples, or which were not produced by the producer himself, must not offered or uploaded to YouBeats.

8. Which formats can I upload and what do I need to consider?

The beats must be arranged in any case. Intros and Outros must be marked as such in the title, so that they will not deleted. If you upload only one MP3 file, you can only offer the standard lease. In order to be able to offer the higher licenses, you must upload at least WAV / AIF file and / or master files. Maximum bit rate is 24BIT. 32BIT files will not tagged with the voice tag.

9. Do I need to upload a preview version of the Beats?

No. Our system automatically creates an audio sample of 2:30 min, which is provided with an voice tag. Only the buyer can directly listen and download the full version.

10. Why should I offer the master files?

This additional offer of master tracks makes your offer more lucrative, because the buyer has the opportunity to arrange the beat for themselves.

11. How do I upload the master files?

You can upload the master files during the upload progress of the beats. If you have uploaded files before the update to Master Files came out, you can complete your purchase in "My purchased details" and upload missing files. Watch also our video tutorial:

12. I uploaded beats and given a price. Why are my beats in full and without Voice Tag to hear?

You can listen to your own beats ever without voice tag and in full-length. To test our system, you need to log out, then you will hear your beat preview with voice tag. If you still can not hear a voice tag, please check if your beat has the maximum bit rate of 24BIT. 32BIT is not supported.

13. I have sold a beat but not know to whom?

14. Why are my uploaded beats deleted permanently?

Please make sure that you have finished entering all the information on this beat. Most of the time, we delete the beats because they are not a fully arranged beats.

16. What does it cost me to upload to youbeats?

You can upload as many beats as you like. For this you will have no costs. If you sell a beat, however, we charge 20% commission and pay you the rest of all sold beats in one month, collected on the last day of the month when the minimum payment sum has been reached.

8. What I have to consider as a buyer?

You can download the files for the beat, contract and invoice after purchase on the page "My Purchased Details". A return of digital goods is not allowed, however youbeats gives a return if missing files are not delivered by the producer and the purchase processing is still open. You have to mention the producers as a buyer in every publication (e.g. song description, booklet ...). Music: DJ X or Produced by DJ X.

9. Is it my beat after payment?

No. The producer is always the author and owns all rights of the composition. After a purchase you have only the use rights, transferred to you by the producers through a purchase. Therefore you must not change or remove melodies, instruments or drum programming.

10. Whenever I want to download a beat, the browser music player opens and I can not download. How can I download Beats?

Because it is a WAV or MP3 file, the browser automatically opens his own installed player. You have to hold a certain key, and then click on the link to start the download. Meanwhile, we have incorporated other alternatives to the files download.
