1. What can I sell on YouBeats?

You can sell the usage rights of your self-produced beats in different licenses. You can also sell usage rights to sample packs you have created yourself in the non-exclusive license. To be able to sell beats or sample packs, you have to register as an producer.

2. Which licenses are available at Youbeats?

You can offer your beats in three different licenses. Set by default by youbeats. But you can also set your licenses yourself. Sample Packs, on the other hand, are automatically offered as non-exclusive.

3. How can I offer the licenses?

The Standard Lease, Professional Lease and Exclusive License build on each other depending on the file you upload. If you only upload an MP3 file, you can only offer the standard lease. However, if you upload a WAV/AIF file, you can already offer Professional and Exclusive. In addition, you can decide for yourself whether your masterfiles can also be downloaded with professional or only with an exclusive license. The same applies to the audio mixdown in WAV/AIF. You can determine whether the audio mixdown WAV/AIF can also be downloaded with the standard lease.

4. What does Standard Lease mean?

Standard Lease Beats usage rights grant the purchaser limited rights of use. Resale of the rights of use is prohibited. A Standard Lease Beat can be sold multiple times. You can always see the rights of use offered by the seller with the respective beat.

5. What does Professional Lease mean?

Professional Lease Beats' usage rights grant the buyer the same rights as Standard Lease, but with higher rights and conditions. The audio file here is at least WAV/AIF. In addition, the producer can already offer master files in this license.

6. What does Exclusive License mean?

The purchase of the exclusive license grants the buyer significantly more rights of use. However, resale of the rights of use is still prohibited. An exclusive license is no longer resold by the producer, but may have been previously sold in lower licenses. The previous Non-Exclusive Sales are not contestable by an Exclusive Purchase. The audio file here is at least WAV/AIF and any master files.

7. May I sell beats that include loops?

No. Beats produced with programs such as eJay or Magix Music Maker may not be offered or uploaded to YouBeats. Beats with unclear samples or which were not self-produced may not be offered or uploaded to YouBeats. Samples and loops from so-called sample packs, construction kits, etc. can be used if you have purchased a verifiable license for them.

8. Which formats can I upload and what do I have to consider?

The beats must be arranged in any case. Intros and outros must be marked as such in the title so that they will not deleted. If you only upload an MP3 file, you can only offer the standard lease. In order to be able to offer the higher licenses, you must upload at least WAV/AIF files and/or master files. Maximum bitrate is 24BIT. 32BIT files are not automatically voice tagged.

9. Do I need to upload a preview version of the beat?

No. Our system automatically creates an audio sample, which is provided with a voice tag. Alternatively, you can pre-upload your own voice tag. Only the buyer can directly listen and download the full version. Beats that are already voice tagged upon upload will be deleted.

10. Why should I provide the master files?

The additional offer of master tracks/track stems or multitracks makes your offer more lucrative, as the buyer gets the opportunity to put together his own arrangement.

11. How can I upload the master files?

You can make the master files available directly when uploading the beat.

12. I uploaded Beats and provided a price. Why are my beats in full length with no voice tag?

As owner you can always listen to your own beats without voice tag and in full length. To test our system you have to log out, then you will hear your beats as an preview with voice tag. If you still can't hear a voice tag, please check whether your beat has exceeded the maximum bit rate of 24 BIT. 32BIT is not supported.

Please make sure that you have entered all the information about your beat. Most of the time we delete the beats because they aren't pre-arranged beats or they were already mixed with a voice tag when they were uploaded.

15 How much does it cost me to upload to youbeats beats?

You can upload as many beats and sample packs to us as you like. You will not incur any costs for this. However, if you sell a beat or sample pack, we keep 20% commission and pay you the rest collectively on the last day of the month when the minimum payout amount has been reached.

16 How do I get my beats in the homepage player?

Every Saturday 20-25 new beats come into the player. All beats that have been uploaded will be in the player for one week, chronologically according to their upload date. However, if you upload a beat today, it will take around 6-8 weeks for your turn. A maximum of 6 beats per producer per week are transferred to the player. Example: If a new producer uploads 20 beats today, six of those 20 beats will be selected. The rest falls away. €5 beats will not be included in the player.

After the purchase you can download the files for the beat, contract and invoice on the "My purchased beats" page. A return of digital goods is not possible. As a buyer, you must name the producer for each release (e.g. song description, booklet...), e.g. Music: DJ Muster or Produced by DJ Muster.

8th. Will the beat be mine after purchase?

No. The producer is always the author and owns all rights to the composition. After a purchase, you only have the rights of use that are transferred to you by the producer through a purchase. Therefore, melodies, instruments and drum programming may not be altered or removed.

The additional booking and the subsequent sending of a free beat is unfortunately no longer possible after the checkout.
