1. What can I sell on YouBeats?

You can sell your self-produced beats as Exclusive or Non-Exclusive. To sell Beats, you have to register as an artist.

2. What means Non-Exclusive Beat?

The rights, also known as lease rights of non-exclusive beats grant the buyer the limited rights for using. A resale of rights by the buyer is prohibited. A Non-Exclusive Beat can be sold several times. The offered usage rights by the seller, you can refer on the producers profile page. This will only be displayed if the seller uses the contract system.

3. What means Exclusive Beat?

The purchase of exclusive beats give the buyer a lot more usage rights. A resale of rights by the buyer is prohibited. An Exclusive Beat is no longer being sold but may have been sold before as a non-exclusive. The offered usage rights by the seller, you can refer on the producers profile page. 4. Can I offer beats which contains loops for sale?

No. Beats which are produced with programs like e.g. eJay or Magix Music Maker, must not offered or uploaded to YouBeats. Also beats with uncleared samples, or which were not produced by the producer himself, must not offered or uploaded to YouBeats.

5. Which formats can I upload and what do I need to?

You must upload complete arranged beats in WAV or AIF(F) file format. Beats that are not completely arranged, and only 1 or 2 minutes will be deleted. Intros or outros should be marked as such

6. Do I need to upload a preview version of the Beats?

No. Our system automatically creates an audio sample of 1:45 min, which is provided with an voice tag. Only the buyer can directly listen and download the full version.

7. Why should I offer the master files?

This additional offer of master tracks makes your offer more lucrative, because the buyer has the opportunity to arrange the beat for themselves.

8. How do I upload the master files?

You can upload the master files during the upload progress of the beats. If you have uploaded files before the update to Master Files came out, you can complete your purchase in "My purchased details" and upload missing files. Watch also our video tutorial:

9. I uploaded beats and given a price. Why are my beats in full and without Voice Tag to hear?

You can listen to your own beats ever without voice tag and in full-length. To test our system, you need to log out, then you will hear your beat preview with voice tag.

10. I have sold a beat but not know to whom?

4. What I have to observe as a buyer?

If the seller use the contract system, you can download a contract. If the producer does not use the system, you should exhibit a license agreement by the producer and as a buyer you have always at every release (e.g. Song Description, booklet) mention the producer by name. e.g. Music: DJ Test or Produced by DJ Test.

5. Is it my beat after payment?

No. The producer is always the author and owns all rights of the composition. After a purchase you have only the use rights, transferred to you by the producers through a purchase. Therefore you must not change or remove melodies, instruments or drum programming.

6. Whenever I want to download a beat, the browser music player opens and I can not download. How can I download Beats?

Because it is a WAV or MP3 file, the browser automatically opens his own installed player. You have to hold a certain key, and then click on the link to start the download. Meanwhile, we have incorporated other alternatives to the files download.
